gear box help

hi guys,
I'm trying to tune my savage 25 gear box to engauge the second gear later, but once i have spun the spur gear and wheels ect, until the hex screws are visible, there seems to me 2 visible, about 3-4 mm apart. So which one do I change :/ ?and do I go clockwise or counter clockwise.

The adjustment screw is the lower of the 2 holes. The top one is what holds the clutch assembly onto the shaft. For an earlier shift, turn the screw counter clockwise and for a later shift, turn the screw clockwise. If your runnin the 2sp, you want it to shift right near the top of the powerband. Hope this helps.
