Anyone have any experience with the new 4PK radio's? I just installed one in my savage x and wow what a difference. Now its time to start "tweaking" the radio for my needs. What I'm trying to find out before i start: Is there a way to create a profile on these radios? What i need to do is create a profile for a 5yr old with way way reduced throttle and slower steering rates....cause with him there is only stopped...and FULL THROTTLE! I know the 4PK can reduce throttle and slow down steering cause i have done it.....just would be nice to do it once and let him have his own profile so i don't have to change things everytime i want to take him out to the track. Any info anyone has woudl be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Welcome to the site. My only suggestion would be to set-up 2 different model memorys. 1 with your settings and the other with the settings for your son. I'm not sure if it's possible to do that with the 2.4ghz system or not. You may be able to just copy your model profile to another and then adjust it from there. Here's an example: Your model # is 1 and you set your sons up and model #2. Copy model #1 to model #2. Then go in and adjust the throttle and steering set-ups. Give it a try and see if it works. If not, you can always go back and erase the model #2 set-up. Hope this helps any.

Wow, that's quite a radio. Do you race? The 3PM is more than enough for bashing... but if you've got'em, smoke'em.

Radio Setup

Thanks for the welcomes and the replies all. After a lot of reading and forum surfing i have come up with 2 options. 1: Do the model copy as xtrem had suggested or 2: Use the 2nd condition switch. I have setup the 2nd condition switch now to limit the throttle - gonna test it on my days off to see if it works. If not i will be doing xtrem's suggestion....only drawback to that that i have read so far is that in order to do a model change on the radio you have to turn the power off then back on again to make the switch ( and when my 4yr old is chirping in my ear for a turn i may forget to cycle power on the radio)
Using the 2nd function is just pushing a button and it is ready to go. I will let you all know what i discover on days off.

To whipnet : nah - don't race - but hope to one day....i know the 4pk is way way overkill for my needs right now but i hope it wont be in the future. "She who must be obeyed" aka the wife gave me the go ahed to get a new radio so i said why the hell not 🙂 Must admit though it is a smokin radio - lots of bells and whistles for the techno geek like myself lol
