free throttle/brake mod no parts needed

I'm going to have this as simple as i can

this does the same as ofna mod but its free you already have the parts on your truck

cut the ring at the middle and the length is approx 8mm
like so

then you need to drill the exhaust side vertical plate or make other kind of fastener for the spring as you want it a little bit more stretched than original
and be absolutely sure it wont come loose
like so

and thats all there is to it
your servo can now put all its power into the brakes without the throttle arm robbing power from them

all fail saves should work with this mod

this is more simple than ofna
less likely to give you trouble as there are no sliders witch could bind when running in dirt and so on

this is the way our trucks should come from hpi without a doubt
since i did this mod i have not had one runaway or failure of this system

i have used this mod for over one and a half year so i know how reliable it is

if there is something you feel i might have forgotten to mention then feel free to ask me

In reference to the ring being cut; what does it belong to? Where does the ring go once it's cut. I'm confused. This is a throttle/break MOB without any pictures of the throttle/break linkage of the truck? Please clarify.

this ring is located on the throttle brake servo

you can cut it with file or dremel tool

just make sure you don't bend it

omg...i was tinkering with my savage today...and i was looking at the throttle return spring and decided that it was a bit loose in the stock position so i was playing around with different locations to put it...and wah la...well i haven't cut the round spring but i will now...

dang i thought i had something...lol...i was just wanting to make sure that when i let off the throttle that it went back to idle...with no crap in between...my linkage has a small loop in the end right below where where it goes into the ball cup of the carb...
