Free Brake Mod

Hi all,

First its good to be back. I haven't been on in a while. (International House move, super busy at work etc, etc. No excuses) This forum is spot on for info.

I love my Savvy but it has always been pretty rubbish at braking. I didn't realise how bad it was until i bought an SC8 for xmas. I've played around with all the brake parts but to very little effect. Last night i was all set to purchase the parts to do the OFNA Mod until i came across THIS claming to have the same effect to braking but for free.

I like free things so i gave it a go and guess what? It works a bloody treat. My savage now stops quick sharp!:getdown:

I wasn't sure at first if the failsafe would work with this mod, but after reading into it a bit, it appears that the failsafe will not be affected.

Cheers Smilingpirate. I had the same concerns but after reading into it came to the same conclusion, not had the opportunity to test it yet though, hopefully never will!

I did this also and it doubled how well my truck brakes. I didnt realize that the spring tension sucked that much juice out of the servo. Its well worth doing as long as your throttle return spring works fine and you don't get too hasty cutting.

i had done this too but then i did the ofna throttle mod and again it is still a bit better. i would recomend doing the ofna mod if you have the money.

Id say the ofna mod is better. For getting by on the cheap though, the free mod will greatly improve braking.

Yeah i probably will do eventually, i've always got something in the pipeline! Just liked this one cos its free!
