I've run own the 3C, 3S, ,3R and 4S GUIDS have served me well, but the devices have all been taken to the woodshed and back (dropped, stepped on, thrown, etc.). I think it's time, however, for a new one that is tailor made for me. Looks like it utilizes a lot of the protection designs/components that cordless power-tools do today, Pretty progressive, if you ask me.
