Thanx , do you know where I can get them ? I see they make a engine plate as well is that for the xl tvp ?

One more question , are they the same length , and is there a center skid plate for these ?

The XL tvp's are going to be longer.

On HPI's website the stock XL is 55mm longer than the X --->>>>HPI XL

FLM didn't say on their website how much longer their LCG EXT (FLM45100) Tvp's are, but stormer hobbies has them listed as 40mm longer than the X--->>>Stormer hobbies FLM45100

FLM makes a skid plate for the FLM45100 tvp's, it's part # flm45110 -->>> FLM45110

I'm not sure about a stock XL skid plate, I'm sure they are out there though.

Size

I just got a email from flm - they are not as long . I've been researching all Tvp's for the nitro XL and flux XL tvp
Nitro same size - irc - ( not) I have them 1 5/8" shorter on the 6 + 1
And I'm not bashing IRC I think these Tvp's are AWESOME . I have 2 sets
Flm - the email said " a couple MM " hum accurate
Stock xl Tvp's are 14 5/8 I also have this
I don't know of any other people making aluminum XL tvp's
Flux Tvp's the only one I've found to be the same length is
1offRC in 5mm
or the HPI conversion.
I have not got a reply back on the flm XL HD's yet or the TCS XL Tvp's
Why advertise XL size when they are not XL size ...... Just say extended size .

Well RC Bros. Just emailed me back " fast and friendly "
"we quit selling flm because they do not answer questions about these parts "

I ordered a set of extended TVPs from Innovative RC on the 17th of December. They seem to be very nice in the pictures, but I have yet to hold one in my hands. Having not received any type of confirmation from the site, I sent an email on Dec 20 inquiring as to the order status. Robert from I-RC replied on the 21st apologizing for overlooking it and said he would get them out promptly.
I know we are still right around the holidays and all and I am dealing with a company across the pond, but I have not received any further communication nor the items. I did send another email via the site on Monday the 27th to see if any shipping info was available, but haven't received a reply from that either.
So, all that being said, I can't say FLM is the worst as far as communication punctuality is concerned. But I kind of know how you feel.....very discouraging indeed.
If and/or when I get the ones I ordered, I will be better prepared to give you the measurements on them.

I have the extended black +6 and the 6+1 Tvp's
It took 2 weeks for the first set to get to me and 10 weeks to get the 6+1 set . It wasn't his fault they are holding everything at customs .
I bought some edit joint bars from eBay off a guy from britian and it took me 12 weeks to get them . It's worth the wait they are killer! I'm ordering a mid tank mod and shock towers this month from him.

I'm using the +6 on my street build and am now selling the 6+1 and am going with the flm XL HD Tvp's for my XL build . The 6+1 are awesome just not long enough for me . The XL body does not look right on it to me . The stock XL are a 1 5/8" longer than the 6+1 Tvp's I wish they were longer the Tvp's , engine plate , and braces are killer.

I don't order regularly from the Europe, but all the times past that I have, it has only taken 1 - 2 weeks for the items to make the journey. That's weird the customs had a problem with your parts. That type of thing never happens unless it is something that you really want and can't wait for. Murphy's Law I believe.

This puzzles me a little and I am wondering if I am misunderstanding something with regards to the IRC TVP measurements. According to HPI, the XL is 56mm longer than the X. I thought the IRC 1" + 6mm were basically 31mm longer than the X chassis overall. That should mean that the IRCs are almost exactly 1" shorter than the stock XLs. But that is not what you are saying. Am I missing something?

The stock Hpi Tvp's are 14 5/8" long
Irc +6 are 12 5/8" long
Irc 6+1 are 13 3/4 " long
So the +6's are 2" shorter than the Hpi Xl
And the 6+1 are 7/8 shorter than the Hpi Xl

Ah, yeah. 7/8" shorter sounds much better. I didn't mind losing a little length from stock, but the idea of losing over 1-1/2" was beginning to worry me a bit.

My bad (;

hehehe. Glad to see that I am not the only imperfect one here. :cwm27:

The Xl body rear sits past the rear bumper . I wasn't liking it at all

Now, that point I will not disagree with. I'm at work at the moment and don't have my truck here with me. But looking at some pictures online, it appears as if the body sits much closer to the rear bumper than I was thinking. I definitely see your point. I am hoping I can relocate the holes in the body and split the difference with the front.
Are your 6+1's still up for grabs? I just got a message from Rob and mine will ship out next Tuesday. But I might entertain the idea of extending my son's truck too. Maybe that will help him keep the wheels on the ground.

7/8 didn't sound much too me either till I put the body on lol .
You'll half to turn the rear body posts around and pull em' back a bit but it will fit without making new holes

I still got them , till I get my new ones then I'm selling them
My goliaths on tremors and a new set of dirt bonz ( 2 tires )

Yeah, I see what you mean. Your wheels/tires look HUGE by the way. I am running 40 series Axial 8-hole beadlocks and Pro-Line Trenchers and they don't seem nearly so big for some reason.
Maybe it is just the angle of the pic, but it almost looks like a 1/10 body compared to those wheels. 😀

When you decide to sell them, if you think about it, shoot me a PM and let me know. If I am in a position at that time I may get in on the bidding.

I tried to add u as a friend but my stupid iPhone won't let me click on your name

Let me try it from my end. I have an Android myself, and sometimes really question whether "smart phone" is an accurate term for any of them. LOL

I'm curious about IRC TVPs. I know that they are shorter but are they any thicker than stock? Is this something I should upgrade before I've bent mine?

Go with the FLM either XL (1.5inches longer then stock) or the EXT (40mm longer then stock). The FLM tvps are 4.7mm thick made of 6061 T6 aluminum and has a like time bash warranty on them.

ahhh so the FLM's are 1.5 inches longer than stock XL's?

No
FLM XL is the same as the HPI XL
When i say stock tvp i mean the savage x tvps.
