Wanted to do one that looked like my 1:1, this is what I ended up with

The autobot symbol is no sticker, I actually traced it on and cut it out using liquid masking.(That stuff's awesome.)

I used rattle cans and there is some places that had bubbles but it turned out ok to me. Also, I used spaztix mirror chrome, I backed it up with black, but, apparently you have to buy the right kind. I used some rustoleum that I had laying around the house instead of buying model paint and it ate through the chrome and gave it a silver finish instead of shinny. But, you live you learn.

This is my 1:1. Now I need to figure out how to get me a set of stacks on this lid!

just noticed it was your first post so wanted to take the time to welcome you to the forum, and thats a sweet lid looks great for a first attempt thanks for sharing..........
 
Thanks Shaun, I also forgot to mention, Vintage Tone's how-to on masking and taping was a tremendous help! As is all the info on this forum, I have learned so much. Thanks to everyone for all the info on here.rockout

Thanks guys, I'm waiting on some zombies, maximizers, and hpi BB's, when I get it put back together I'll post some picks her assembled.

Nice job and welcome to the forum! Great work on that autobot symbol, you must have a steady hand, I would have thought it was a sticker if you hadn't said anything. Lets see it on the savvy!
