I hope this is going to be a quick question. I recently did the FLM LCG EXT mid tank mod. With doing this I was going to have to run the fuel lines around the mill. I did not want to do this so I went and was able to rotate the fuel inlet (part #1473 in the f4.6 manual.) I rotated that 180 degrees so that it would be a straight shot to the front of the truck.

When I did this I noticed that it pushed the whole HSN away from the carb. I could still tighten everything down. But I now have to be 4-5 turns in from flush. HPI says that you should not go more then 2.5 in. So I guess my question is, is this OK? I have run it and I get good blue smoke/temps so I assume that it is OK. But being a noob to all this I would like to get some expert advice.

Thank you in advance.

Jeff, is the inlet now on top of the lip where the banjo fitting seats itself?

is that whats cauzing the hsn to not tighten down as far?

don't see a huge problem with it unless you develop a leak.

that's just it fred, I don't know... all I know is that I have good smoke and don't hit over 275F when I run in grass. Figure that is when the mill is going to be working the hardest. I don't even know what a banjo fitting is LOL.

Jeff just ignore what HPI says its max settings are and tune the mill to run good. Tune is tune. If you not lean your fine.

To answer the PM:
Banjo fitting is that nipple and Msn. just the type of connection it is.
