I put on a Dubro exhaust delfector on my pipe to keep the exhaust off the truck. It works great to do that, but the sound is now alot quieter and and my truck sounds like it has a tiny engine now. Is there a better way to keep the exhaust off the truck that doesn't change the performance/sound?

what size did you get.I had a problem putting mine on the exhaust pipe because it was too small,i got the .20-.34 size.

not sure, it was a very tight fit on my ribbed pipe.

Thanks guys:moon: , but I already had it on. No one has a better way to deflect the exhaust off the truck that doesn't make it sound quiet and weak?

I was surprised my deflector didn't make my truck sound much different at all. Mine actually comes off quite easy if there is oil under it. Mine is a Venom deflector. Works well.

i think almost anythings better then trying to clean that goop of the right rear tire and stuff!! lol I'm running a general silicone exhaust defletctor!! apparently its 100% silicone seems to work good!! i bought it at great hobbies for like $4

i saw a pic not to long ago were a guy put a "tube like" exhaust deflector which ran all the way out the back of the truck!! not sure how it ran though! probabally more "back pressure"

Same here the crap on the tire, i got one from the LHS and it went on easy and still runs and sounds the same, it is a hobbico

I'd go with a rear exhaust if your looking for something that will keep the exhaust off of the truck or rear tire. Peace.

That's odd that it made it sound different. You're using the gray DuBro one, right? What pipe do you have? I used that same deflector for some time on my Savage with a Hot Bodies pipe and I don't remember any change in sound quality. Could you try shortening up the deflector so it still deflects some, but maybe the sound will be better? Of course once you do, there's no going back...

Now that I think about it, I think I still have my trimmed DuBro and an untrimmed one I got with a used truck a while ago that I've never used. Wanna give them a try? You're EO in MV, right? If so, I could drop them by your place.

Yup I'm EO in MV. doesgo, are you bruce? gimme a day and time and stop by. I'll show what all the money I've spent at your store have done.

LOL! Yeah, that's me. I'll try to drop the deflectors by your place in the morning tomorrow. We'll have to hook up sometime and do some bashing, once I get my Savage back together and it stops raining. I'd love to check out your truck!
