Just as in the title, thats exactly what happens.

I haven't used it for more than 6 months and i remember it happening before too. If i leave the throttle at normal it shuts off i need give it some gas for it to keep on going. Thats what i used to do until the engine got warm then the idle would be too much and i would have to lower it. I always thought thats ok but now it seems like it is not.

This kind of seems like a tuning issue but since i m new i didnt exactly know what i should do. Lean it maybe?

everything is at factory settings right now.

Thank you

she is DEFINITELY TOO RICH is it is at stock settings. go in about 3 hours and try it. preheat the engine with a lamp or something then try it

i would adjust the high speed right? (excuse my lack of knowledge)

P.S. Everything is at stock settings

good advice above!!!!! just remember to adjust the needles only small amounts at a time "1/8 turns" as a rule you don't have to fool around with the low speed alot.... and always start with the high speed as stated above!!!!!!!!!

let us know how it turns out. you will know when you hear her fire up .......then when she comes up to temp....she'll stay runnin

bad news!

It didnt work

I leaned the high speed about 2.5 turns didnt work.
I increased the idle for about half a turn it worked however, then the clutch would be engaged and the wheels would turn.
I played with low speed didnt work however I just realized i enriched it instead of leaning it.

Then i ran out of glow igniter batter and stopped. Tomorrow i ll try with the low speed needle adjusted.

If i give it a little gas it works but of course the clutch becomes engaged. Same as idle. I feel like the low speed might solve the issue since just a milimetre increase in throttle keeps it going.

when you have the idle screw set a little high then use the throttle trim on the radio so it will keep it runnin but have a low enough to not engage the clutch. just my .02

leaned too much start over and go in 1/8 increments

adjusting the low speed to where it supposed to be showed a lot of promise.
HOWEVER i realized i have a pretty big (big enough to fill the surrounding with fuel) air leak at the glow plug. I tried different plugs (1 totally new) with different rings.

No results it leaks from the same spot. I'm stuck now 🙂
