Engine Question

Man is it good to me be back on this fourm.

to my question I have a Dynamite 427 That i got from my brother in law and the one way was all gumed up and so i took it apart and cleaned it and put it all back together and the pull start would work for one or two pulls and then wont work on the third. I take the pull start off again and spin the crank from the rear and it works, put the starter back on and same thing. Any ideas why this happens?? I also put some afterrun oil on the shaft that go's into the on way and then it worked that once and then tried it again tonight and it did it again. any help would be great guys thanks

clean the 1 way bearing and use some wd40 on it, grease and oil will make the 1 way slip and not grab the starter shaft goin into the engine

Thanks I'll give that a try. It had to put some afterrun thru the engine again and I took the pull start off again and clean it due to it wasn't working again. I'm sure I'll have to do it again this week so I'll try what your saying and let you know
