i have an Axial 32 Spec 1s as some of you may know. i have had problems with the one way bearing. when pull the pullstart cord it fires but the string does not retract. this is because of the one way bearing. it works after you clean the bearing but the problem is this keeps happening. and i don't want to clean it every other run. what can i do?
thanks

Are you sure it the one way? Next time you take off the pullstart take a look at the knot on the end of the string. Sometimes they get out of there seat and rub against the back plate and hang up. I've had to put washers between the pullstart and back plate. You can also fix the knot problem. Take the pull cord and pull it all the way out, with it off, and hold it so it wont recoil. Then you can move the knot around and reseat it. Good luck bud!

Change Fuel You Run I Have The Same Problem And I Was Using Traxxas 20% Fuel Which Has Alot Of (oil) In It Which Is Making The Owb Slip. All I Did Was Went To Odonnell Fuel And This Has Never Happened Again.

well ive had the back off the engine and when you spin the one way bearing on the shaft it grips both ways. i cleaned it up with break cleaner and it is much better but still grips a bit i think there is a bit of grit or something behind the rollers. I'm using tornado fuel which i ran with my last engine and it has always run great so i don't think it is the fuel that is the problem. ive checked the pullstart and that is fine i had to do the washer thing with my last engine but this time it is diffrent.
thanks for the help
any other ideas?
