I am running the picco Hyper 8port and I know whatfor life I can get out of it, but I was wondering if there was any info out there on the lifespan on engines any or all engines

..That depends on how you run them ... Also depends on What engine it is
My engine last like 6 gallons..

Ok just thought I would ask if there was anything out there on this,, my last 8port lasted 12 gallons and that was hard track racing hitting temps of 300+,

I have talked to some engine techs and they actually recommend changing

the connecting rod out at about 3 gallons for a long lived engine. they said

the rod actually weakens some because of the stress on it during breakin. I

am going to do this on my two LRP spec3's and see how it works. I learned

this by splitting my connecting rod up the middle on a 500.00 mill at about

4.5 gallons. The bad part is that I heard this info from a couple of techs at

about 2 gallons. I should have listened. Gonna be a costly lesson.
