engine issues

i didnt run my savage 4.6 for a few months and when i went to to run it again it started pretty easily. However it would not go above 120 degrees. I first tried leaning it out. That didnt work so i changed the spark plug and bought new fuel. With all of that the temperature would just not go up and you probly know that at that temperature it wont run very good so i had to let it idle. I have let idle for near 5 tanks of fresh fuel and the temperature stays the same.
any help you could give me would be greatly apprecaited.

if you are tryn to bring up temps, put a sock on head or change plugs. don't lean it out bud.

what your amb temp?

maybe check throttle linkage. pull filter off make sure you are getting full throttle.

Are you sure your temp gun is in Fahrenheit not Celcius. As 120 Deg C. would = 248 Deg F.

yes my gun is farenheit lol
i can tell its 2 low by how it runs

Do you have an actual temp gun? If not, try the spit test

What plugs are you running and what fuel are you running. Also are you running a fuel filter and is the air filter clean?

20 % powermasters
med or cold plugs
airfilter has never been cleaned........
and yes got a fuel filter
along wit nice pink fuel lines lol

You could get by with a hot, med-hot, medium plug this may help.

You could also clean your airfilter by dish soap and worm water.

Exactly, this make the engine run rich. It would have to be really durty to plug it up to run that cold thougth. But with that clean and a hotter plug may be the trick.

but my glow plug ignitor is screwed up so bought a new one guna try again 2 mrw
