i think their the same just different cooling heads but I'm not sure cuz i never owned anyone of them. but someone here will know better than me.

I am not sure what the difference is but someone on another forum was asking if he could use a k crankcase on an f motor and several people replied that the k and f motors are completely different motors. Not sure what they are though...........

I thought the K4.6 was a 3 needle carb. The picture you have shown for it is a 3 needle carb to. Also, the Carb on the F4.6 is 7.5MM not 8.5MM like the K is.
 
Mine is 3 needle, I noticed that too.

I have one of each of these motors, they are both, well to me they have a lot of power. The K4.6 was easier to break in, it also rns a bit hotter than the F4.6.
