dogbone with flm tvp too big??!!

the hd dog bone that connects my trans with my rear diff seems to be too big. its the one that comes with the flm ext low cog tvps, it doesnt seat all the back in the drive cup. should i just grind it down with my dremel? is this normal?

Well you know I said toss in a wheel dog bone so its runnable. Then send it back to FLM for replacement but Ill add it to the thread.

I don't have an extra wheel dog bone to do that bank. Its ok i sent flm an email yesterday night ill wait to see what they say. if my pos camera can take a pic close up ill post it tonight after the birds beat the giants. I'm down anyway i have to wait for the ofna tank to come in.

I lied I have an older savage x parted sitting in a box. i will use one of those bones for now and I'm going to upload pics now as well.

bank check this. the dogbone I took from my wheels it too big also. the heads at the end of the drive shaft wont sit back in the cups on my tranny or diffs. only the small ones that came with it stock fits. the cups are too small. i wonder if this is a defect from HPI?

Yes the ball end on the wheel dog is like .344" and the center dogs are like .312". So it will not fit. My guess is that FLM sent you the wheel bone over the Center rear bone. Just contact them.

I bought these FLM parts from addicted2rc.com. Soo far their customer service is the pits. I told the guy my problem and his response was "are you sure it doesn't fit" "i'm gonna need the exact dimensions of what doesn't fit" why does he need dimensions? just send me a new center drive bone and ill send the hd wheel bone back.. FLM hasn't responded to 2 emails yet either. I will call them today. In this pic I have a wheel bone from my other savage but its the same deal with the FLM bone.

Yea man keep at it .. You will get a replacement
