Those are there so you can access the tranny adjustment. The case is not sealed so putting oil in it won't do much good.

it all just leaked out, so i was like uhhh.. is this right?

yeah you could squirt a little aerosol type white litium grease in the holes but not to much.

lol omg thats so funny. Oil probably didn't touch the gears much, just went straight to the bottom of the gear case and leaked out.

Those gears are designed to run dry, don't lube them up.

lol no, well I'm not sure what kind of oil it was, it was in a very old tin that we have been using on bicycle chains for years
but as he said, it just leaked down the side to the bottom lol
