Do 14mm hubs strip out easy?

Hey guys I'm building my savage electric conversion and I'm down to finding what tires i need. I know the tires, but the rims i want are 14mm but will they strip out easier than the 17mm? is it even worth going down to a 14mm? Let me know what your expereince is. Thanks.

Think it depends on the wheel and how tight you tighten them up use both 14 mm and 17 mm and never stripped out either of them.

The tighter the better I'm guessing. If its loose it would have play and tend to strip, is that right?

Yes ..the tighter the better. For sure on the wheel nuts ..

After running a few packs through my Brushless converted Savage I'll only be running 17mm now.
Stripped one. Not a problem with nitro but brushless just has too much torque on tap.

Looking at converting to 17mm hex and nut.

Only time nitro ever stripped a 14mm on mine was when I got on the power too soon airborne. have not finished my brushless savy but won't run less than 17mm hexes knowing the almost instant torque of bl motors and always snug'em up good.
