differential problem!

ok so today i was playing with my savage and the rear differential i think broke. i turned the car over and took off the skid plate. i moved the wheels and the gears jumped.

any ideas? i going crazy with this thing......thanks:deadhorse:

if you put the truck on the ground and push it by hand do you hear grinding or feel skipping? best suggestion is to take the diff out and inspect it.

Yes it sounds like its skipping.

chewd the pinion gear or rounded the teeth on the ring gear as well..

ill bet it is a b032 bearing failure that usually tears out the gears
