I know that everyone has their own opinion...but I am going to give my opinion on the different fuels out their. I had used Bue Thunder for my savage when I first got it, BIG MISTAKE.....it never ran the way it should, so then I changed fuels over to Trinity %20 and that made a big difference, totally a new life to the S-25. After about 5 gallons through the S-25 I decided to get an STS 28 and for that motor I started out with %20 Trinity for break-in and then I changed over to Trinity %30, and after using it for about a gallon the entire time I have noticed that it cooled it better, tuned better, and has more power. I also have a RD Logics SHO which the stock motor has been modified which I have ran O Donnels and Byrons in it. The O Donnels seemed to do better than the Byrons in the V-Spec .21 but the STS .28 seems to like the Trinity %30 A LOT. I am not a nitro expert but this is my findings over about 15 gallons of fuel. Also you need to pay attention to the oil content....I have always used fuels with a oil content with no less than %8 and no more than %15........note that the more the oil content then the more chances you might have with you OWB slipping. If you noticed that the one way bearing is slippiing then you will want to take it out and clean it, I use break cleaner, you can also buy a new OWB as a spare which I suggest and I have 2 OWB's as spares for each motor that I use. Since I have used fuels from %20-%30 over the past 2-3 years I have found that all the BB motors I have ran that they run a lot better with thr %30 than the %20.

Fuels I reccomend:

Byrons
O'Donnels
Trinity
Sidewinder

Fuels I DO NOT USE: Blue Thunder

Why I don;'t use it: I have ran about 4 gallons and used ARO after each run and well my motor looks horrible.....and runs horrible. After I changed fuels it was a totally new motor.

Just my .02

Hope this helps someone!

Same thing here. I used to use Blue Thunder but then switched to Jac's racing fuels. I'm running 20% right now in my sts, but thinking about switching to 30%. not sure yet.

ya i use sidewinder backyard basher 20% nitro 16%oil seems to work good. ive used blue thunder once in my"other past truck!" lol a while back and darn near burnt it up it ran so hot! and it wasnt a tuning issue or air leaks or anything it just runs alot hotter i found!
