As the title says...

What are the differences? Do they effect performance? Strength???

Its just because i ordered my RSC and have been told its the old one 😢... i haven't got it yet and i can get it refunded but i got it for only $110 so is it worth it?

I KNOW!!! but what are the differences... i know someone mentioned a comparison here somewhere but i cant find it

I have it and installed it. Whats the new one I can take a look and try to figure it out with you.

I think the older one has two positions for the turnbuckles on the steering arms on the hub carrier, here.

The newer version only has one hole/position, so the older one, as far as I know is the better one. I may be wrong though.

The older one has two holes correct. I am not sure of the new one. If that is the case that the new one only has one hole, then i beleive the old one is better. I guess we have to see if others have the new one.

i cant find the part number of the new version... Anyone know

I'm sure I remember reading a post here, someone had the RSC but was concerned that it just has the one hole and was told it's because it's the newer version.

Both the old and new versions come under the same 87245 part number as far as I know.

Even on the HPI site they show the older version with 2 holes, I think it's just a generic picture and they haven't changed it, I'm pretty that's sure the only difference anyway.

i just called hpi europe and they are not even sure... The guy i was talking about thought there was only 1 version??? If the hole is the only difference and there are no other performance differences then ill def get this now

Okay I have the new one and have seen the old one in person.

The new one has only one hole on the arm like stated. The new one also has slightly larger stops to prevent the dogbones from popping out when you turn.

On the new one to get full steering out of it you must grind those stops down otherwise you will not gain very much steering over the stock set up.

Either one works great the new one just requires a bit more work to make it work the way it was intended to in the first place.

If you happen to get the new version I will be happy to walk you through what to do.

thanks for clearing things up pope... I guess the better, easier one to run out of the box is the old one then... So which holes should i utilise to give me the most steering?

To be honest it won't matter much with a good radio. I use the end holes on mine and like it the inside ones are going to be a bit more sensitive.

I have heard it both ways so many times I stopped careing. I finally got mine installed. ran it once and busted the bulk...took it apart to get anodized and been waiting for three weeks to get it back.

thanks a lot dooley! Great help, I'm sure that will clear things up for a few people too...
