so i am new to this, but i know i want stronger diff components. so i will be going with a alum diff case. but what carrier (cup) should i get? i hear you cant beat the HPI kit (shims and all). and what about lockers?

I'm a off road guy(diesel trucks, rock crwalers) but is worth it for these cars?

HPI aluminum diffs are good that's all I race & bash with.Lockers are good for pulling but not much more than that

what is a good wight of diff oil to use? where is a good place to pic some up online?

I like to use 50K wt in both diffs. IMO a great wt. for bashers.

I have 10k in my rear diff. I've tried locking the rear once, its pretty awesome in dirt, gravel, etc. but I wouldn't suggest it on the street or other high traction surfaces. I broke DBs like crazy. Thicker diff fluid is the way to go.

i use automotive wheel bearing grease and it works great and it helps with heat build up on the diff keeping it cooler which in turns lasts longer.
