diff shim

Iam sure someone here can help i have a savage xss and the diff cups have a lot of movement mainly up and down will it be a matter of shiming to stop that if so wre abouts in this forum will it be thanks to all in advance

The diff cups feel loose eh? Chances are the flat washer inside the case has turned into a cone. Next time you service the insides of the diff, you will have to replace that.

Thats proberly it as i have had the savvy 4 about a year,5 litres of fuel and i have never had the diffs apart,in fact the only thing ive ever replaced is the 17 tooth clutch bell,but i do think its time for a full strip down and some new parts,ive just ordered the hpi sway bar kit .
