Diff rebuild

I have to rebuild my diffs and I'm now upgrading to the cen diff. I just need to know what is the best way to clean all the old diff oil off the gears and everything? I'll be reusing the cen gears, cups, ring and pinion gear. I'll be buying new HPI HD outdrive for the dogbones, and o-rings for the outdrives. Also, I'll be getting some kevlar diff seals to use. Thanks for all the help everyone.

just used some carb cleaner get a cup and spray them in there GOOD LUCK !!

site, whats up bud. You recommended shimming the pinion gear for a better mesh, Do you have to drill out pin for diff cups? Is a clutch washer too thick?

NO I sold the cen diffs NEVER BROKE THEM !!!

i use petrol to clean my diffs works well and thin just wipe it with a cloth and it looks like new!

What do you use to fill the hole in the end of the cen pinion gear? I was thinking JB Weld, just not sure and wanna do it right the first time.

yea jb weld will work, youll be ok bro keep us posted on your diffs

I'll keep you guys posted. I just got one of the cen diffs yest. in the mail. Now, I'm just waiting for the other one. Then, gotta get some stuff from the store, diff oil, grease, and shims. Also, SJ, in that diff rebuild video, where did you find that "diff dunker" at?

I was wondering if anybody knows of a way to remove old thread lock from the threads of a screw? An easier way of cleaning them besides scraping it all off.
