I don't have a savage yet / didn't previously own an RC, so a few questions:
1- Are the diffs oiled appropriately out of the box? (I've heard somewhere on this forum that it wasn't the case).
2- Should I shim my diffs as soon as I get my RTR Savage X 4.6 (stock alu diff cups) out of the box?
3- If so, are the shims mentioned in the first post OK for the X 4.6's stock diffs? How many should I need to get so I'm sure to have enough?
If I need to shim the diffs out of the box, I'll try to get the parts I need before getting the savy so I don't have to wait a week or more to get parts shipped.
On a final note, what oil wt would you recommend on the stock diffs for rear and front?
I've watched the video tutorials on diff shimming so it should go well if I get these questions answered...
Thanks
