diff question

after a session of bashing i realized i broke my pinion gear in the front diff. Can anyone tell me some good upgrades to do, or any upgrades i should do while i have my whole truck apart.

Are you running the plastic or aluminum diff cups. If not get the aluminum diff cups and shim them properly. There are plenty of threads to help you with shimming the diffs.

I agree with the shiming your diff. But if for some reason you keep tearing you diffs out i would sugest finding someone who can do a cen diff mod for you. Talk to site jester about how well they work. He was the worst person here when it came to stripping diffs. Sorry site jester its the truth. LOL

i got the 4.6rtr and it came with aluminum cups, and shimming i planned on doing that just need to read up on it and understand in more, and what is a cen dif mod?

They are complete cen gst diffs modified to fit the savage. They are a great upgrade, I run them also.

i don't run them myself but i hear that they are pretty much bullet proof
