Cover Plate

i broke 2 holes where the screws go in so now i gotta replace it. i was wondering what do i need to replace like lubricants and that kinda stuffand are there any tips that i should know to make replacing it easier or less stressfull?

any help or tips or ANYTHING!!! would be greatly appreciated😎

Bummer, literally broke them right out. How did you manage that?

I'm not sure but i think it was when i went off a jump and landed flat upsidedown right onto the sidewalk. luckily i had my savage x roll bar on it probably saved me from buying a lot of other parts.

yea i wasnt gunna run it because it didnt look "cool" but i rather it not look cool than it being broken.

That happened to me and HPI replaced it for free they said it was covered under warranty. Call them up see what they say.

best advise would be use an easy out.. take your engine to a hardware store and tell them you need the smallest easy out they have

SJ- i can get the screws out i just wanna no if there are any tricks or tips out there to make replacing it easier

i just emailed hpi and i am pretty sure that they are sending me a new one they haven't confirmed it yet tho.

I think SJ's reffering to a screw extractor bit small enough for the hole size your dealing with. Simply backout the broken portion of the bolt out of the crankcase threads with the tool.

i have no screws they all fell out because the screw holes broke. i broke the cover plate not the screws.

yup they usually reply with 5-10 mins of me sendin a email. when you send one tho it says that it wont be for a few days but its always been within a few mins of me sendin.

am i suposed to put anything on the out side of the cover plate?? because my ald one is dirty and has something all over it but i don't know what it is.
