Today my computer recieved a virus it's a Trojan that changed my home page and it also keeps giving me pop ups from norton that keep telling me that it logs key strokes. I have also had some explicit pop ups. They just come up at random times and i can't stop them. Norton can't find it in it's scans and it won't let me do a system restore. Please help this is a really bad problem.

You been watching porn?? When I had the trjan I was abe to do a PC recovery. Search for a program Panda.....and then ask MEGA the PC MAJOR!!!

Use a other anti virus porogram..
If Norton didn't found one, and he didn't detect one during infection,
What's the use of using Norton ??

Try to find a virus removal tool for the specific virus.
Try to start windows in safe mode (press F8 while rebooting pc) and scan again with your antivirus programm.

otherwise install windows again. Make sure of making backups of your documents, contact persons and favorites ect.

Well to answer HPI savage's question the answer would have to be sadly yes. I finally got rid of the Trojan and i have no more pop up's and no more virus alerts. It was from a program called codec(don't download it). But i still have one problem when i got the virus it changed my hompage to some wirus protection site and i can't change it. This is the site it changed it to http://safeiepage.com/

Press Start>Control Panel>Network & Interntet Conections>Internet Options>and then change the address and apply then press ok. Hope that helps

Ok well i finally fixed the homepage but there is one last thing that i can't get rid opf it's the tool bar that was added it's called the protection bar and i haveno clue as to how to delete it.

That codec is a bad download aint it? I did that mistake once and only way to delete it all was run safe mode and do it all from there, if not it keeps locked into the resources and you can't delete it.

Go into Add and remove programs and find it then remove it.
