Ya simple green works well, a little air for blowing off grime also helps alot as well as a selection of brushes to get the really dirty places, an old toothbrush works wonders for cleaning off arms around gearcases etc....

what I do? I blow it off, than disassemble the whole truck, clean the plastics with water, and reassemble. I do this about 2 times a year. or, simple green works, too

Spray mine down with Brakleen but after reading this post maybe Simple Green will be in my future, because like everyone else's Octane it seems, as well as my own, it should smell like it runs, like a lemon.

You better make sure that brakleen is plastic safe otherwise it will eat the plastic parts, denatured alcohol or simple green is best for cleaning duties....

The reason I use Brakleen was because I had bought some nitro engine cleaner from my LHS for around 10 bucks a can that basically smelled and looked exactly like Brakleen with the sticker peeled off. I wanted to keep my costs down. I haven't noticed it eating into any plastic parts as of yet but appreciate the advice.

Biggest problem I have is grass wrapping around the rear dog bones. I have to use needle nose pliers to pull it out. They need to make A arm protectors to keep this from happening. To clean mine I use hot water and dish liquid along with compressed air to blow out the dirt and dry it.
