I have had a used superbrain 819 for a while without any problems but i plugged both of my receiver packs into it on different days (months apart) and left it over night on accident:duh:
when i finally remebered i found my packs still working but with most of the heatshrink either gone or i guess shrunk up. On one of them there's brown stuff that looks like rust but i know it's not. Even the battery wrap that has intellect 1400 is gone on some of them. I thought my cat did it. NO CAT WAS HARMED. lol So what's up??????

Sounds like they are leaking so thats not good I would not reuse those again throw them out!! Not in the garbage either!! Be kind to the enviroment!! PEACE

Crap!!!!!!! but that is why i asked about what charger to get in the electronics section i want to get a new one. but only one has that brown stuff.

Discharge them and try charging them again. See if they still take as long to charge and discharge as they did before. If there is no loss of runtime than the cells are all still fine. Maybe vented a little..... but still working.

Okay.
they both still work fine so i think i'll still use them for awhile.

Simple as that. Now you probably reduced the life of them a bit but as long as they hold a charge use them suckers. You can get new shrink tubing for them at your LHS if you want to protect the cells. Or dip them in liquid electrical tape.

I've just wrapped them in regular black electric tape laeving holes on either side. Steller i'd love to do that but i don't think we have that were i live.

If you take them to the dump vs throwing them in the garbage they will dispose of them properly for you. If you bring some cardboard or newspaper along with it to recycle they (usually) wont charge you.
