Does anyone or has anyone run CEN Genesis/Nemesis shocks on the savage? I'm looking to possibly purchase a set of these if they are decent. Are they a direct fit or will it require any modding? And how will it affect my ride height? Thanks.

Thanks. Don't think I'll get them now as I am a basher. I was just looking for something different.

they work alright for bashing as well...you just need to run 8 of them...run 4 for racing...I like mine...and they're WAY better than stock Savage shocks...

you also lose a little ride height (the reason most bashers don't care for them) but upgraded shocktowers (like nova racing towers) fix that easy enough...

to each their own bud...if I had money coming out of my nether regions, I'd buy the LST conversions, as they are probably the ultimate, but for the money 🙂 CENs are my choice...

Yeah, I think I would like them but I don't want to lose my ride height and I don't want to spend the extra money on new towers. I would love to do the losi conversion but I am running RPM lower arms and don't want to give that up. I'll probably just stick with stockers for now.

I have two sets of CEN shocks now. I bought 4 from Blazer X and the other four I got from anouther guy I know. 4 of them have the white springs and are quite softer from the other four which have silver springs. I have come to conclusion that the silver springs are bought from Ace Hardware. Only one end is tapered and the silver springs are not all exactly the same length. I plan on getting four more silver springs to replace the white ones since they are beefier.
Another difference between the shocks I have is that the ones with the silver springs have a shorter bottom part that attaches to the suspension arm. Does anyone know the part number or where I can get four bottom portions? I also need 4 more of the ball pivot things that go in the top holes.
I think with the silver springs and a heavy shock oil, these shocks will be aweseome.

it just looks like the connector on the end of the siver ones is a replacement. you probably could get the cen ones and they would be the same length.

i still think the losi's are good, but let us know how these do.

the rod end on the silver spring shocks i think is a genesis shock part or a center shock rod end. The longer rod end belongs to the GST/Nemesis. I used the shocks with the longer rod ends and the silver spring and with thin shock weight, it was very bouncy. I droped the rear end from just 3 inches and it bounced back up in the air 1 inch. I am going to have to play with the oil weight and springs. The shocks lower the truck to the point where the arms are level-it would be good for racing except the truck still bottoms out at a 4 foot drop. I'm going to mess around with it and see what works best, but more than likely I'll just use them for racing.
