You can use most any motor combo on your rig, I would honestly contact ez run to see what they recommend, and electric RC's use motors, not engines...

Well I would get the best esc motor combo you can afford, of course the manufacturer recommends the max 8, but as to your question I believe you can use that motor esc combo, just remember it is usually best to get more esc than your rig uses, it allows more gear ratio and has a beneficial effect of your electronics running a bit cooler...
