Can I install reverse in a savage XL 5.9 ?

Hi all,
I just bought a Savage XL 5.9

I bought it with a 3 channel radio.
Is it possible to retro fit reverse capability on to this truck ?
What other parts do I need to get to do the job ?

Reverse in Savage XL

Yes you can install a reverse on the XL. I have done it and it worked well. You will need to buy the reverse module and a servo for it, I recommend a cheap standard size servo.

Does the reverse module come with the linkages to connect it to the cam on the servo ?

I am not keen on using the mixer where it ####s it into reverse when you hold the brakes for 3 seconds. I want to use the 3rd channel on my 3 channel radio for reverse, now that I have the 3 channel radio.

How do I do that ?

If I buy the revesrse module and the servo, what will supply the power to the servo when I press the reverse (3rd channel) button on the remote ?

just make sure you have a 3rd channel =)

3rd ch and MAKE SURE TO STOP! You'll strip ur gears in trans if you don't fully stop and then engage reverse.
