Brushless gear help!!!

Alright I'm a noob to brushless I'll be running Proline bowtie tires for Baja and 2200 kv on Flm extended flux frame. My question is with 4s LiPo what gearing would I use? I don't want to overheat motor or fry esc. Thanks

Stock flux gearing is 44t spur and 20t pinion, and your running the baja tires ?

my thoughts exactly. i would gear down for the added strain that the weight and rotational mass of those tires will put on your b/l system. buy some good quality packs also.

I would go from the 44/20 to something closer to 52/16...

or... scratch the baja tires, and go with the MT bowties from proline. I run the LPR version of the bowties and LOVE them!
