Brake Question

I just bought new dual metal brakes from hpi for my xl. when i run it on my stand the wheels stop instantly after i let off the throttle. is there a way to adjust the brakes or do i just need to let the pads wear in?

There should be a throttle trim on your radio, make sure this hasn't been knocked. Adjust so the idle doesn't rise too. 😀

i don't understand? the throttle is working fine its just when i have the car on a stand when i let off the throttle the brakes stop the wheels immediately. i was just wondering if the pads needed to be wore in or if there was a way to adjust the brake tension.

Back off the thumb screw on the brake linkage.

+1 on savageman46's advice & when you get a chance (if you haven't done it already), give your rig a OFNA throttle mod upgrade. very inexpensive & will work wonders on your throttle & brake

I would second the throtle mod makes your braking work way better.
