Best budget race suspension setup for a savage

Hi guys. i own a savage that i ahve invested a lot of money into, but it isnt handling as well as i want. the truck has stock shocks and springs. i have added different fluid though. a freiend had told me that he found that canola oil worked good. it made the truck handle a little bit better and made the ride a whole lot softer. i just want something that will handle a little bit better with a pretty reasonable price

In my opinion Big Bores are the way to go.

What kind of bugdet are you on though. Big Bores may be too much money. You could always do the fuel tubing trick to shorten the shock shafts and try running 30-40 weight oil.

do the shock mod. Add about 3/4 of fuel line to the shock shaft on the inside of the shock body. Use 30-40wt shock fluid. That should help out a ton. TOtal cost under 10 bucks.

didnt you have your own way of making your shocks? i think you used like a little bit of copper pipe to go over the shock shaft and t maxx springs. how is that workin for ya?

Haha my dad actually went back to the cooper/ t-maxx spring set up.

He likes it a whole lot better then the stock springs

don't tear it up too much before the pumpkin smash. i wanna see it. my dad bought all of the e savages and all the parts to them from henry cross. ones novak brushless and the other has stage d drift motors on it. will have to send the esc back in for a new one though. the fan broke and it burnt up

idk thats a good question. he does want to make a full size brushless savage pull truck. i haven't seen the e savvys run yet but my dad said that they will fly. I'm thinkin about takin that brushless 1 from him and run it at the pumpkin smash cause i blew the revo up and traded it to my dad for my new savage x
