I took my trucks out for a bash with a group of local bashers today, great bunch of lads! First i got half a tank through my SC8, then the pull start melted through, third damn time thats happened! Then I got my idle sorted on my savvy, (engine tuning is not my strength but i'm learning!) thanks to the help of a couple of the guys there.
Here goes the issue though, I've got Baja wheels/tyres fitted on my truck, which are large in diameter and heavier than normal savvy wheels/tyres so the stock Nitro Star 21 BB was struggling to find enough power to get any speed up, it was screaming. The temp was up to 105 - 110 degrees celcius, is that high?
I was recommended to change the spur and pinion gear to increase power (smaller pinion/larger Spur). Althogh, i'm not quite sure what i'm looking for or who makes them to fit my truck.
Any body got any recommendations or experience of this please?
