Just wanting to know if there is a alternative to soldering deans on to LiPo battery leads? Maybe a connector/clamp to connect them. Or if theres a converter for a deans to a banana connector? I'm having troubles getting my Deans to stay on these lipos.

I got the sky lipos and the blue lipos both very easy to solder.
I had to up my temp from 750 to 770 to get good flow.
I wouldn't spend $30 on the adapters i would take my time and try to heat that wire up enough to get a good flow.

Eh this hobby is expencive what's a few more bucks to make it easier on one self. What are those plugs called that come on the hobby king batteries by the way.

I say get some Flux paste , and DO NOT USE Lead free solder !!!!!

Sudi gave some great advice with the flux paste for electronics that most over look.

here is what you do:

1. cut the deans plugs off your esc and all packs and throw them in the garbage where they belong.
2. order 10 sets of eflight ec3 plugs for $7 http://www.helibuy.com/10-pairs-ec3-connector-set-male-female-p-565.html there are simple to solder, then snap into the plastic housing so no shrink tube is needed. they are rated for 60A continuous and just a great connector all the way around.
3. like sudrick said, get 60/40 .062" lead rosin-core solder (361 degree f melting point)
4. flux paste.
5. heat the iron to 400 degrees.
5. watch this guy do it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8aF3-4uBkQ

was looking at hobby kings batts they use a 5.5mm bullet connector all the adaptors use a 4mm one darn oh well.
