The Emissivity of water is different the the metal of the engine, so it wouldn't be accurate
I may be a little late on this one, but don't you want to read the glow plug and not the head? Glow plug isn't anodized. Like I said, probably too late.Thats what i hear, i read on the duratrax site that for anodized metal that the setting for emissitivty should be 76
Good point Parker .. but it's hard to point that type of gauge at the plug
I've ran into this before. I had a friends Dura trax that the manual said to have it at 77E then my O'Donnell says to run at 100E so I did multiple comparisons between the two and decided that the O'Donnell was more accurate.Hey Parker. I asked that same question about the glow plug and I was told to still use the 77E setting. I wasnt sure if it would be right that way either. Does anyone know for sure?
OK duratrax sent me this link but it doesnt seem to help much. Maybe some one here will know what to look for.
