5b shocks

Has anyone tried a 5b front shock on their savage yet? Seems like this would be pretty indestructable for a much lighter vehicle. I know the front shock is approx. 17mm longer but that could be changed. just curious if someone could try to fit one that has one available? definatly need a new set but always willing to try somthing new! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

svtman, I am not the first to try this, however I might be the first to accomplish full travel with them on a Savage. (Thanks to SunkenMetal)

I am more than thrilled with this mod. Not exactly cheap, but the performance so far has me smiling ear to ear.

As far as tough, no bends yet even with some nasty high-speed concrete cartwheels. These things are brutally strong as they should be being designed for a 1:5 but placed on a 1:8 scale.
