Hello,

About 2 weeks ago my upper suspension arm snapped on my Savvy X 4.6 and the 46mm rod that goes through it got lost, so i received all the spares today and reinstalled the suspension arm, and put the pin through it. But i noticed it is loose compared to all the other rods, i cannot move all the other rods, but this one i can pull out pretty easily with my own fingers. I don't want to lose another one by it just falling out. Any ideas ? I have also noticed all the other rods go in about 1.5mm further. I tried tapping the new one in with a toffee hammer but no luck.

Also if anyone could link me to some quality lower + upper metal suspension sets for the savvy 4.6 that'd be great, up to £70 for a set of 4 i'd pay - i see it as a potentially good upgrade.

Help would be appreciated.

Stay away from alum arms they will cause nothing but trouble for you. They bend and they break other parts like bulkheads.

As for the pin you can keep them in by using a zip tie to hold the bumper supports together which will keep the pin retainers infront of the pins.

Yeh, just read they were junk. Ohwell.

I tried the ziptie method, crashed at a slow speed, ziptie snapped, pins fell out.. 🙁

I'll have to fix a metal plate over them some how, a ziptie just won't hold up to a crash (Which i do alot of, being a beginner)

Try using a couple of zip ties and don't do them up really tight, (that will make them easier to snap) so they have a little give but not enough so the hinge pin will fall out.
