Ok so the springs broke on the cluctch shoes and tore the whole thing up. I replaced the stock with 17cb, and aluminum shoes. No it will start but wont go anywhere. COuld i have burned up the tranny too? I give it full gas and the sg andcb aree turning but wheels arent moving. What do I need to do?

did you replace the springs with a heavier type? like a 1.1 ect??? and check the trans and grub screws as well.

check the slipper pad on the spur to see if its loose.

i replaced the springs with the gold ones that came with the pack. I just held the nut at the end of the sg and the sg spins freely should it do that? or does that mean the slipper is bad?

ok so it was the slipper....way too lose burnt the sg and pad and tore the bearing up. Also one of the front cross supports was broke so I fixed that also. Thank you for the help runs like a bat outta hell now. Oh yeah always remember to put the clips back on the gas tank lol......Once again thanks for the help!!!!

most definitely if your sg spins freely you burned up your slipper. that will happen before you strip a tranny gear for sure especially if your running a plastic spur. that whats great about plastic spurs, they are like failsafes for you tranny. IMO I would tighten your slipper nut all the way down and don't back it out, thats how I run anyway, a lot guys do stock and back it out 1/8 to 1/4 turn but it can become loose and burn up your pads like you see
here

do yall know the part number for the cross member under the fron bulk head. it has 2 screws that go in the side and then 2 in top of it. its about 2 inches long and plastic?

you mean the crossmember that is attached to the front skid that sits behind the bellcrank? only things under the front bulk are an aluminum support/mounting plate and the front plastic skid

its on top of the skid plate closer to the tranny side. I think its plastic though....i think its a support for the bottom skid.

yes that is the part i am talking about. But can you just get that part or do you have to get the entire bulkhead set?

if you have a spare motor plate cross member you can use that as well and yes you can get just the plastic cross member without buying the entire bulkhead.

eric.....
