3 speed won't shift!

i just bought a savage from some dude on ebay. it has a 3 speed tranny and a pro spec .28 i know i need to tune the carb alittle, but the truck won't shift at all. i am new to this hobbie and don't know what to check or what parts look like. i know how 2 strokes run and how to tune them pretty well but i need help tuning this transmission or checking other parts. can someone please help me out?

I will say you need to have you motor tuned to 100 % b4 you blame the tranny also check the slipper clutch tightness. Take a look around the site there are 4-5 my tranny wont shift threads with good info in them that you can apply to yours. Also info on the slipper and such contained in those threads.

P.S.. these nitro's depend on RPM'S to shift so lets say your running really rich, then the rpm's don't get high enough to shift at times which is what bankrupter was getting at!! good luck!!
