3 Speed Transmission confusion

Ok...

I have a Savage X 4.6 RTR

So which three speed tranny do I need for more top end and more bottom too? I want to assemble it myself to save the money and for the fun of it. And I want the adjustment on the side just like my current tranny has.

So what's the part number? I feel like I've looked at a 5 different ones...

The XL 3 speed comes with the high speed 3rd gear. Only 3rd gear can be adjusted from outside. You have to take the tranny apart to adjust 2nd gear. There is a sticky on how to do it.

Yeah the XL tranny is the way to go. You should be able to get one of Ebay for fairly cheap. It beats trying to put one together yourself. Plus I did not have to do any setting on the tranny when I put it in.

don't know if you have them already....but add some aluminum clutches to accent the tranny. i was surprised at the difference the two made together.....

In kit form you need the 3 speed kit and the high speed 3rd gear set.
