3 speed adjustment

so if i have been reading right the 3 speed has to be apart to make adjustments is this correct

yes you have to take the top of the transmission case off.

thats sounds like to much trouble, i thought u could adjust it from the outside like the 2 speed, thats what i thought the other two holes behide the rubber cover was for. i have the 4.6 rtr i was gonna upgrade it to the 3 speed.

You can only adjust the 2nd to 3rd shift without taking the top of the trans off. If you need to adjust your 1st to 2nd shift, you DO have to remove the top.

since this is a 3 speed thread, i would like to address an issue that I'm having....i installed a reverse gear yesterday and the 3 speed disappeared.... it doesnt go 3 speed anymore just 2 speed.

any ideas??
