nice work dude.....but you really didn't have to take her down to the metal. make sure you use a 2k etching primer since you did go down to the metal. when i painted my (i painted it myself....i just knocked everything down with 320 and 220 to get the high spots. i came out like glass...an here are the pics to prove it. it you don't go with a thick primer....all the high and low spots from the paint, primer, and metal are gonna show up....so do it right!

ooo....might wanna pull that body molding off too.....it's gonna kill your new paint. you can break it up from being so monotone with a pinstripe or graphics. in a couple more years when it starts to fall off...you'll wish you had.

Well haven't posted anything here in a long time but it has progressed nicely. We got it primed on Friday, wet sanded for two days and then put some paint on it today!

For paint color we went with "Torch Red". Needless to say, it is going to look like a fire truck, lol....

Going to be wet sanding tomorrow and hopefully have some clear coat on it by Friday and then bring it back home on Monday or Tuesday of next week and start putting it back together. I will get some pictures taken of it tomorrow.

Here is a picture I took today.

Looks orange but it is actually red. Wet sanded it today and going to put the clear coat on it tomorrow.

Sadly it isn't going to have anymore paint put on. Has a bit too much red but I think when the plastic comes off everything, bumpers get put on and the chrome trim pieces get put on then I think it will tone it down some, I hope. If not we will put the black trim pieces back around it also...

good job!!!! take some falt black paint and do those fenderwells and she's good. throw some tint on it and call it quits. job well done dude!

Thanks Matt!!!

Still have to put the hitch and front fender on along with the passenger mirror, trim pieces around fender wells, and we aren't sure on the roof rack or the chrome trim for that either. Still deciding. After the clear it looks like "orange peel" so we are going to buff it all to hopefully get it looking a bit better. Overall we are happy with it. Total cost is about $600...

Yeah I'm ok! Tires on it were from 05 and needless to say were needing to be replaced ASAP....but didn't have the funds to do so but planned on doing it within the next 3-4 weeks...anyways everyone slammed on brakes including me but all I did was slide...right into the back of a boat motor that was tilted up so the prop went right through everything. Hood, radiator, grille....leaking trans fluid, brake pedal linkages all bent, everything....so now it's time to save for something a bit newer...
