I've had my RC for a little more than month - and today I can officially say that I have it 100% where I want it. I've learnt that they're touchy, insane, fast and not something you can just let sit on a table/workbench and not have the urge to start it up and smoke out my family.
For the last...
I've gone through two glow plugs in the last week.. I was wondering why this might be happening and what I can do to prevent this? Is my car too rich or too lean? And what kind of glow plug would be best for my Savage SS with a 4.6?
My main concern is that I'm ruining my engine.. Running it...
My car fell in while I was beside it so I got it out really fast, but it killed the engine the second it went in (upside down with only the tips of the tires exposed) I grabbed the truck and let the water drip out, removed the air filter, removed the glow plug and dumped raw fuel into the head...
I went back to factory settings and then followed up on the link 88gtanotchback posted for me and its running great again! At least it was lol.. Me and two other friends decided to go bashing and we ALL submerged our RC's in the same damn swamp.. Repairs only cost me $50 thankfully (needed a new...
I've been having an issue recently where my truck sounds really REALLY lean when its idling. If I go full throttle and then stop the truck it almost bogs out and then rev's up really high, and the its almost engaging the clutch.
I don't really want to mess with the settings because my savage...
haha no mattress, its a piece of wood- we're going to cover it all with dirt and you wont be able to see any of that, just the outlines. And Ottawa is like 4 hours from Toronto, so it would be quite the trip
All that my friend Bryan did on his own! He's pretty good with stuff like this, I get to do all the backbreaking work with the dirt :P I'll be sure to get some video's. My friend Chris has a nice video camera, I'm sure we can set something nice up
A little bit of motivation go a long way when you have a handful of people who love their RC's as much as we do. This week a full load of dirt is being unloaded by a damn dumptruck so we'll be able to finish it off. At first I didn't think it would turn out half as nice as what it is now - but...
I was at my local HS today and asked about that because I was curious, I was told to just make sure that crud like dirt and dust does not accumulate in there but regular oiling was not needed. They do sell oils at the HS for it though, so I guess its a personal choice. I myself intend on doing...
lol, I would LOVE to have a shark! That stupid move Finding Nemo is what starting that hobby.. Mostly my daughter wanted a clownfish, so I figured it would be cheap to get a tank and put a clownfish in it for her.. Little did I know what I was about to get myself into...
I'm was working on a custom 160g for my new reef setup but that went down the drain when I flipped my RC into it shattering the front panel.. And now that I'm really into this new hobby I wont be able to afford the live rock to put in a tank that size. Figure at about $6.99 a pound for live...
Haha that settles it, I'm just going to get the a new cooling head and exhaust cause the ones I have now are beat up and I want my machine to look nice - it performs more than I need right now so I wont screw with that. Thanks for the advice everyone
lol that was awesome. Made my day, now I don't feel so bad flipping my truck into a fishtank outside I was making for my new reef setup lol
Needless to say - I need a new tank.. Oh, and A arm
I was just wondering..
My GF wants to buy me a present for my SS and she noticed that I've been reading into a supercharger for my engine. I was just wondering if anyone has anything to say about these, if its worth the money or if it will just destroy my truck completely
