I have a Savage X RTR. I have 1 3/4 gallons through it, I had One bearing on both the front and rear diff's the bearing that supports the cups for the axle dog bones go bad, and the cup shafts have now wore the hole in the diff housing big and there is play there. It doesn't seem to matter...

I may just stick with my F4.6 and get a rebuild kit when needed. It's running perfect!
I didn't know that the K4.6 has a three needle carb, they can be a bit of a pain at times.

If so how often?
Where do you put it? take the glow plug out?
In the carb would make more sence but a little more of a pain to take the air cleaner tube off all the time??

Is the K4.6 from the Savage SS any better then the F4.6 from the RTR? If so what are the advantages? Can you put the roto start on the K4.6?
I have a chance to buy a K4.6 for not much more then a rebuild kit would cost me for my F4.6 but I only have almost two gallons through it.

Does putting oil in the diff's make a big difference both on performance and lasting longer? If so, what does it do for performance?

Are the 4 bevel diff's from the Savage ss with the aluminum housing better then the stock diff's on the Savage X RTR? I see you can get them on E-Bay ready to drop in for a decent price. Is it worth having one(or two) on hand ready to drop in when the stock one(s) goes? I guess what I'm...

I'm thinking of putting a VG 30 in my Savage X. Is the extra power of that motor allot harder on the trucks drive line parts? ie diffs,transmission,driveshafts etc??

I have Savage X 4.6 RTR. I would like to get a MPI pipe, I would like it to help all round performance not just top or bottom end only. I noticed they have ribbed purple,black and silver, also a purple polished aluminum one.

Here's the deal, I have about a $350 credit at my LHS. I would maybe like to by some spare parts for my truck. I would like to stay with HPI because he has allot of that and I'm in Canada so getting...
I to am thinking of going either with the aluminum threaded shocks or the big bores on the x 4.6 RTR. Are the BB that much better then the threaded ones? What is a good wt of shock oil for bashing?
