Sorry guys, I haven't checked the thread in a while.
The 8ight can be had at any level you want it as long as it equals a fair trade. I have everything for it. Two $100 servos, a $250 Navarossi engine, $75 pipe and header, Losi racing clutches, sets of new tires and wheels, aluminum braces...
I'm not sure what to ask for it, I've been out of the market for a while, I'm not sure what a fair price is.
As far as the pictures, I uploaded pics that were very large and the forum resized them automatically I guess. I can always email them to you and I will try hosting them somewhere...
I am looking to trade my Losi 8IGHT 2.0 Race Roller for a Savage XL or X SS or equivalent. I had a Savage XL a couple years back and I miss it dearly.
I have all the goodies that you would want to build up a REALLY FAST racer. I sank tons of money in it and didn't race it very much at all...
I need to get a carb linkage uniball for a K5.9, actually its for my Losi 350 in my 8ight, but I know the one off my K5.9 works because I robbed it from my Savage XL yesterday so I could run the 8IEGHT.
The one that came on the 8EIGHT RTR was plastic and ended up stretching and now won't stay...
Inspiration for sure. I keep thinking about selling the savage to pick up a 8ight, but then I think it would be fun to dominate the Monster Truck Class!!!!
Thanks for posting that up, nice video and really nice truck.
where did you get the mini jack stands?
For those that have stretched to this length, have you found any plusses or drawbacks in handling steering due to lengthening the wheelbase without widening the Arms and Dog Bones?
Like stated above, I have found that greasing the ball cups and ball ends will destroy your O-Ring's which give you positive engagement, keeping the dog bone from moving around. You could use a dry graphite to eliminate the squeaking.
fuel
any of those will work, tuning for each will be different in order to control engine temps.
20% is cheapest
30% more expensive
IF you just playing around I would run the 20%
The more important factor is to buy a quality fuel. Stay away from Trinity Monster Fuel, its crap.
