Hellfire arms?
I like the extra .500" the FLM arms gives me, and the lowers are great, but there are a couple of design issues with the uppers. Will the Hellfire arms fit, and if so, how much longer are they than the stock Savage arms?
Track width!
So I added 1/2 offset Max. wheels, and it was a noticable difference. With the .500" longer FLM arms it gives me two inches total, which is a noticable difference over the stock arms, stock wheels. I have a few "Issues" with the FLM arms. Are they really the only company out there...
Update!
I managed to get two tanks in on these parts last weekend before the never ending rain started again, and all I can say is WOW! What a difference two inches in track width makes. You can turn the wheel at speed and it just goes, running circles at full lock in either direction, at 3/4...
Was waiting to post this until I got some run time on them, but it looks like it's NEVER going to dry out in this part of Florida. Been looking at different ways of increasing the track width, started with a set of offset Max. wheels which made a noticeable difference. Went looking for a set of...
Nooooo, don't tell me that. They are really "Sticky" as compaired to the stock Savage RTR tires. Changed the steering servo to a JR DS8711 with 403 oz/in of torque along with a GH aluminum steering servo saver with bearings, and WOW, turn the wheel at speed, and WHOOPS, upside down! Figured the...
O.K. Here's my other problem with the Losi-Zombie's. Besides the fact that they balloon into a point and shake like $#^%$#^, they move around all over the wheel. After posting about the ballooning problem, I was into the "Tape" fix and Judge told us he had the same ballooning problem and said...
Don't have any broken dogbones, or drive pins, and the rear diff. is working as it should. It ballooned the stock tires also, seemingly more in the front than the rear as the front is "Light" at speed.
The tape trick sounds intersting, thanks Allan. Dreadnaught, didn't drill the wheels, as...
Wow. Installed a set of Maximizers with Zombie-Max tires this weekend. Thought I had installed them wrong, and they pulled the bead out, as the first time the truck went by at speed the front tires were ballooned into a point in the center!
The tires seemed great a lower speeds, really sticky...
Looked at that SAV100 filter on Motorsavers site last week and tried to order one. No one I called knew it exsisted. E-mailed Motorsaver on Saturday and they answered back. On a Saturday!
Was told the big dist. like Tower and Horizon would be adding this number in the next two to three weeks...
No, but he replied to my other post. He told me to send them back and he would replace them. Tells me he's a "Stand up" guy. Wasn't trying to bad mouth GH products at all, even though I may have come off that way. Was just really disappointed because the other GH parts I have were so damn good...
So I was on here last night on the shoutbox talking with Bank about my new GH aluminum parts. Bitching about how they didn't fit right. Posted in the GH Racing vendor section and didn't want people to think I was being harsh so here are some pics of what I was up against. In one picture you can...
I've got a 1600mAh in it now, today I ran today for about a hour and a half and it was fine. I was worried about battery life when I changed the radio gear over. I'm also using a Futaba brushless (BLS451) for the throttle, and was told the brushless servo was a battery monster. I'm going to one...
Installed a JR DS8711 steering servo along with a GH Racing Aluminum servo saver, and WOW! What a difference 403 oz/in of torque makes. I had no idea the stock Savage X setup was so bad (As compaired to this). I now have the problem of rolling the truck over at will (Just ordered a set of FLM...
NiMH voltage and thanks!
First of all, thanks to everyone who's tried to help. I posted a different question about the 4PK in the Futaba Manufactures section on another forum that was ignored.
Does anyone here know if it's true that you don't want to let a MiNH pack go under 1v per cell?
I'm trying to figure out a radio fail safe and need some help. Got a 4PK yesterday along with a BLS451 throttle servo and a JR DS8711 steering servo. For the battery fail safe I have a choice of 3.5v, 3.8v, 4.4v, & 4.75v. I'm using a 6.0v, 1600Mah hump pack.
Anybody have a good idea what the...
